I have the wonderful task of being the publicist for the beautiful, soon-to-open Le Posh Salon | Spa | Lounge you can see in the picture to the left. I had the opportunity and honor to be the very first guinea pig. I was treated to one of Le Posh’s signature treatments, the Le Posh Signature Seaweed Birch Wrap. The wonderful head masseuse, Ticia, explained the treatment in detail and then exited the room and I climbed onto the bed. Now, this being my first wrap EVER, I was a little surprised when she started brushing my skin with a dry brush. She assured me, as strange as it seemed, this helped exfoliate the skin and increased circulation and once I got over how much it tickled, it felt very good. Then she began painting every exposed part of my body with a greenish substance. After I was turned into the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Ticia wrapped me up. While in my toasty cocoon, I received the most incredible foot massage in my life! Wearing high heels every day does a number on my feet and this massage seemed to reverse years of barking dogs!
After she determined I was sufficiently dry, I hopped into the in-room shower with rainfall showerhead and rinsed off. Once I was back to my normal, pale skin tone, I wrapped myself in an indulgently soft robe while Ticia cleared and prepared the table. I then laid down on the softest sheets my skin has ever touched. Ticia asked which fragrance I would like used during my massage: Black Currant, Sandelwood or White Tea-Grapefruit. After a quick mental debate, I settled on the later and my 30 minutes of bliss began!
As many of us who lean over computers at PR agencies do, I tend to hold stress and tension in my shoulders and neck. (Word of advice: try and sit up straight when you’re at your desk!) Ticia worked and worked and as cliché as it sounds, after 30 minutes I not only felt like a new person!
