Yelp has helped me select every thing from a new brunch spot, a tanning salon (faux of course) and the best happy hour spot. However, I would consider myself as more of a taker than a giver with Yelp.
This all changed recently when I created a Yelp account and posted my first review! What spurred my action was a feather, yes a feather. I jumped on the bandwagon and got a Featherlock in my hair. For those of you unfamiliar with a feather extension, it is individual feather crimped into one’s hair. After seeing one in a friend’s hair I became obsessed trying to figure out where to get one and how to get it as quick as possible. Obviously I went to Yelp.
When I found Tanya, both on the Featherlocks website but also on Yelp, I could rest assured she knew what she was doing. So I made an appoint, picked out my color (minty green) and left with a gorg feather in my hair in the perfect place. (Picture below)
After a few days, befriending Tanya on Facebook and many compiments, I decided I should let every one know how happy I was with my feather. So, I created a Yelp login and wrote a rave review. Since everyone, including this LA Publicist, knows how important word of mouth is, I hope my few kind words will send a few more clients her way! If you are interested, you can find Tanya here.
