This is a story about a haunted public relations firm in Los Angeles … (DUN DUN DUN) !
Bright and early, the ladies of Konnect Public Relations stroll into the pink and bubbly office on Halloween day. As normal, they grab coffee, check emails, read the news for the latest current events or trends that could pertain to their clients.
The beginning of the day is well underway .. and all of a sudden one of the girls start to experience a computer glitch. “Hmmm , this is odd” she thinks, as she calls IT and tries to figure out the problem. As the day continues, there are several other mini “sketchy” occurrences — the lights flicker, the big screen TV randomly turns on, the fax machine makes weird noises — and for some reason the hard working and highly focused publicists disregard it all.
The day continues well into the evening…
Around 3-4 PM, the ladies at Konnect PR are nose deep into plans, reports, press releases etc, until they are all startled by a loud “SLAM!”
Every single door in the office has vastly shut, the power goes out and the are totally shocked by what is going on. Each office, unable to open the door — the girls are screaming through the walls to ensure that everyone is okay. As one girl begins to jiggle and pull the door knob…. swing and the door opens. Shocked at the whole situation the girls all crowd into the hallway discussing how “weird” that was. In the middle of their discussion, the girls are startled again as they hear “Crack, Smack, Plop, Ting” coming from the other hallway. Scared and spooked — the girls take precaution as they walk to see what happened.
“Oh No … the samples!” one girl cries out as she notices Sweet Leaf Tea, Trade Winds, Bean & Body Coffee, Taste Nirvana, Cocktail Rx and many more of the office samples have fallen off of the shelves and scattered everywhere on the floors!
Shocked and overwhelmed, the girls begin to feel a creepy vibe in the room as The Konnect Pink walls begin to melt down, turning dreadfully red. Melting in a thick and slow nature .. the ladies start to notice their shoes being covered in red melted “guck”. “OH no !!! We are stuck!!!” some yells, as they all begin to go into a quick panic!!
Banging on the windows, doors and walls — NO ONE HEARS THEM.
the girls begin to ramble their different thoughts …
“What is happening?”
“How are we going to get out”
“I only had 3 lines to add to this press release” (only Kim would be worried about her release in a time of crisis)
As the melted wall begins to get knee deep, the girls are absolutely hysterical. Until something appears out of no where — catching their attention. That’s funny… its a light … a very bright light.
“Ring Ring Ring”
The phone on my lap buzzes ….it’s my alarm. its 7:38AM. I am on the train and I must have been sleep?
What’s happening? I think as I am creeped out by the images in my head. Shaking it off — I realize I can no longer stay up late watching American Horror Story because it is beginning to give me spooky dreams.
I guess there is no such thing as a Haunted PR firm in Los Angeles….PHEW!
but jeez — it sure felt real.
