Content Strategy Director

Konnect Agency is seeking a seasoned, passionate social media strategist or social content strategist to join our talented team of digital marketers. Reporting directly to the agency’s AVP of Digital, we are looking for someone who is strategic, creative and collaborative. Someone who is able to think through social media challenges, opportunities and the ever-changing landscape to develop strategic plans to grow our Clients’ organic social channels , identify key opportunities to capitalize on, and deliver on goals. A successful candidate will also be able to collaborate across departments to report on the chatter they are hearing and the trends they are seeing as they relate to our Clients.

Requirements

  • Establish and lead implementation of new strategies across social efforts. Build ongoing and annual cross-platform social media presentations that will drive engagement and full-funnel efforts
  • Stay up to date on all social platform trends / culture and determine any resulting implications. Develop social playbooks and POVs to educate agency teams and clients around these implications.
  • Create and lead social briefs by providing clear direction, inspiration, and education to creative teams
  • As needed, help produce content photoshoots, including development of production timelines, talent sourcing, and on-set shoot management
  • Review creative outputs to ensure they’re following platform best practices, incorporating any recent shifts/optimizations, and tie back to identified goals
  • Confidently lead conversations with internal and external teams around trends and how they apply to specific challenges/goals
  • Partner and meet regularly with Creative, Influence, Brand and PR leads to ensure that Social Programming is part of larger strategy
  • Share insights into content performance to both clients and internal teams on a monthly basis
  • Work with our social media managers to build insight-driven social reports. Using this data to provide key learnings and recommended optimizations to both internal and external teams
  • Establish social campaign KPIs, benchmarks, and goals

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional social media strategy experience
  • A deep understanding of social platforms, technologies, and trends
  • Demonstrated experience conceptualizing and executing content driven campaigns.
  • A history of developing compelling cross-channel campaigns that utilize social media.
  • Experience with Social Analytics and related tools
  • Strong communication skills and confidence when presenting to Senior-level clients
  • Expertise in understanding and uncovering actionable stories within large sets of data. Ability to clearly articulate problems and solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of social media platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Reputation Management tools, Blogging Platforms, YouTube & other video platforms.
  • Up-to-date understanding of market trends and interest in following emerging technologies.
  • Strong Google Suite and Powerpoint skills
  • Knowledge of/experience with web analytics platforms (Google Analytics)
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.)
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Entrepreneurial personality is a must.
