The Project
Overview
In Brazil, football is more than a sport, it's a celebration built around food, cocktails, music and community. When the world's biggest soccer tournament arrived on American soil in summer 2026, Fogo de Chão invited fans nationwide to experience the season the Brazilian way. Running May 19 through July 10, the campaign introduced the limited-time "World Caip" cocktail — a festive twist on Brazil's national caipirinha — alongside Bar Fogo watch parties across the country and the Miami Fogo Experience: a 12-day immersive activation at Wynwood Marketplace featuring live entertainment, wellness programming and match-day celebrations. There, the Konnect team coordinated a Ronaldo lookalike contest that became one of the activation's signature fan moments, while a partnership with fellow Brazilian brand Sol de Janeiro extended the campaign's cultural reach on social media. Anchoring it all was a one-of-a-kind creative asset: custom limited-edition cleats fusing traditional gaucho spurs with match-day footwear (Fogo's churrasco heritage, reimagined for the pitch). Konnect led the earned media charge, launching the campaign with a nationally syndicated announcement, executing a multi-market satellite media tour and pitching the story everywhere soccer fans were looking.

Conclusions
Final Reflections
The World Caip campaign proved that authentic cultural storytelling wins the news cycle — even during the most crowded sports-marketing moment of the decade. By anchoring the story in genuine Brazilian match-day tradition rather than a generic tie-in, Konnect positioned Fogo de Chão as the definitive place to experience the tournament stateside. Coverage landed at the national level, in tournament host markets, and across nearly every major watch-party roundup in between — driving traffic to watch parties, awareness for the World Caip LTO, and cementing Fogo's ownership of Brazilian culture during a once-in-a-generation moment for soccer in America.
