If your anything like this PR girl, you read this blog title and thoughts of Facebook notifications, what happened to my google + account?, remember that thing called foursquare?, are all running through your heads . And I get it. Everyday it feels like the Internet is trying to push us in to some new site, and ways to send out invites to our friends and update them on our lives without ever seeing them in person. But over the weekend I was introduced to Pintrest (you do have to be invited but thats easily do-able) , and I was more than pleasantly surprised and a tad bit ashamed of how addicted I have become in 3 days to it. If you’ve never heard of it, Pintrest is a website where you can log on and browse multiple images and pin them to boards. Think of life maps or scrapbooks you have made, and then imagine that all happening on the web. You can find images, hair styles, fashion trends, traveling images, etc. and then categorize your boards into sections to pin them to. What I like to do is find all the holiday recipe’s that I always say I will one day make and store them on my “Tasty Treat” board.
Above check out just a few of the boards that I have. I have pictures of celebrities that I might be obssessed with, cupcake reciepies and pictures one day I will own. People can view my images as well as like them and repin them to their own boards. It’s a great way to share new trends and happenings and I think thats essential to any Public relations agency and trendy savy girls everywhere.
