Last week, Chrissy Teigan started the best Twitter feud of all times…. BLENDER WARS! This all started when she responded to a fan’s Tweet reading “Went on amazon for a blender and ended up buying @chrissyteigen’s cookbook.” Then Chrissy being the awesome person that she is, offered to buy them a blender if the fan DMed her! Thus starting a conversation on Twitter between her and these three huge blender brands: Vitamix, NutriBullet, and Blendtec!
Getting involved with trending topics on social media is HUGE for brands! It’s a great way for them to keep their content relevant and interesting! These three brands did an awesome job at jumping on the bandwagon with this topic.

In this case, NutriBullet was not a part of the conversation, however they were able to stay relevant and promote their brand while engaging with the topic.

It’s never a good thing to be too “salesy” on social, but if you can seem more organic in your approach fans are more likely to respond to your content.
