So, if you know anything about me – you know that I am absolutely OBSESSED with Tasti D-Lite. Every time I am in NY, I insist in getting a giant pint of Tasti D-Lite and eating it in my hotel room- every single night.
No matter how cold it is outside, or how crazy hot- I can always be seen trotting around the Times Square location with a giant bag of treats from Tasti D-Lite. And every night, pictures and updates go live on my Facebook – because, as I said, I’m absolutely obsessed with it.
Just in case you may be the one reader unfamiliar with Tasti D-Lite, please let me impart my knowledge – Tasti is the absolute best frozen treat of all times. It is yummy and sweet (but not too sweet) and comes in ever changing flavors like strawberry (in summer time) and pumpkin (in the fall) and coconut (kind of random) and Dutch Chocolate (when they run out of everything else- lol) and many, many others. They are to be found in NY, AZ, CT, FL, MD, MI, NV, NJ, TN and TX with NY being BY FAR the most prominent market.
As far as I am concerned, proof is in the pudding- check out the image below- me and Monica in freezing cold eating Tasti D-Lite atop the TKTS booth in Times Square- may I mention this is in January???

Anyway the point of me showcasing even further my obsession is the article in today’s A.M. Jolt from QSR Magazine.
Turns out Tasti is off to the Aussies. They’ll have the chance to enjoy as little as 30 stores or as much as 100.
Meanwhile, there is NO Tasti D-Lite in LA area YET. The website announces a “coming soon” location. I can tell you the day Tasti opens in LA, I will be the first in line 🙂
Until then, I have to schlep to NY and even Australia for my fix! Thank God for Virgin (yet another obsession of mine that we will reveal at a later time)
